Litchfield Beach Trip 2016

We just got back from a week at the beach with Brent's family. We stayed in North Litchfield. All the houses were beautiful. It was definitely the hottest week I've ever been to the beach. You could only go out in the evenings. Having a 5 month old and being so hot, meant spending lots of time inside. Here were some highlights of the trip:

  • 4th of July golf cart parade
  • Riding on the golf cart
  • Lots of temper tantrums from Parker, especially over what to wear.
  • Ice cream shop

Parker
  • loves the ocean and sand
  • loved playing with Jackson and Brooks
  • did obstacle courses like Ninja Warrior
  • loved to play with "the girls"
  • always asked "where is everybody"
  • doesn't like to nap or go to sleep at night
  • has FOMO-fear of missing out
  • likes to play with cars and hide in closet
  • started to play go fish
Luke
  • lots of naps
  • likes the beach, but doesn't get too excited
  • doesn't like to be hot
  • stayed inside a lot this week

Moments

Moments. Some seem to last forever, like a work day, exercising, or that long induction waiting for your 1st baby. But most moments, seem to fly by. I just wish I could capture these in my mind and keep them stored away. Having 2 boys has made me realize just how fast each moment goes. I love the quote....."The days are long, but the years are short." What a true statement. This blog will hopefully help me remember the moments that I cherish. Some will be present and some will be "throwback". To my husband, family, and boys....I love you!
